Back from Vienna, I finally have time to post a brief report and few shoots about my art show at adhocPAD.
As I wrote, I’ve exhibited a complete retrospective of my Untho works (around 24), my very latest prints (10), the Butterfly serie (15) and about 20 works of other urban artists including Shepard Fairey, Bast, Kinsey/Mike Giant, Amanda Toy (printed by SNT Editions), The London Police, Miss Bugs, Cleon Peterson, Mauro Gatti….
With a total of 71 different art prints, it’s my biggest art show to date and I’m really, really stoked to made it! As you can see in the pictures, the gallery looks really amazing and we filled every centimeter with prints!
Overall speaking, the week up there has been intense and besides setting up the walls, I worked very hard to make the “Butterfly Print” in time. We (me and 0717) burn and screen them several times to get the result I was looking for and then… I spent a full night&day to paint and to finish!
The result are 21 very unique color variation of “THE BUTTERFLY PRINT”. You can see them here at my website and eventually buy them at Snt Editions later this afternoon.
All the prints are also available directly at the gallery until March 22nd, Alessio Schiavon/Art on Paper is on for a month.
Vienna is a really amazing imperial city and it really worth the visit and the stay. I didnt have much time but I anyway enjoy the chilled atmosphere, the stunning palaces, monuments, city squares… under a constant and really charming snowfall! (no comments on the huge amount of sacher, wurstel, wienerschnitzel and beers… ).
If you have the chance, go for it :)

ALESSIO SCHIAVON: ART ON PAPER
I’ve been invited to exhibit my art as artist and my art as collector at adhocPAD in Vienna next week.
It’s gonna be a big artshow as I’m going to exhibit over 50 different limited edition prints!
The art-show focuses on a retrospective of my screen prints from the early works under the name of Untho to the most recent ones, plus a selection of the prints I’ve been collecting over the years under the SNT Edition&Gallery name. The list includes names such as Shepard Fairey, Bast, Kinsey/Mike Giant, Amanda Toy, The London Police, Miss Bugs, Cleon Peterson…
All the prints will be all available for sale during the show!

I’ve done a full photo report of Faile artshow during the opening of their Nycballet Art Serie (Lincoln Teather). It was a pretty unique event and artwork are amazing. Check it out at my flickr!
I’m in New York and besides of two business opportunity and of course the chance of visiting one of the most exciting cities in the world, I’m going to attend the Faile/Nycballet exhibition tomorrow night!
I cant wait to see what the famous brooklyn duo produced for this very unique show. The list of artists invited to contribute at NYC Ballet before Faile includes names such as Warhol, Lichtenstein, Clemente, Schnabel, Haring… It should be amazing. I’ll post some pictures/report soon!
It has been a really intense five days trip and we tried to exploit the city at our best! As usual the mantra was: don’t sleep and live as much as possible.
We have been cruising around the classic “view points & neighborhood”, spot great art pieces in the streets ( futura, os gemeos, now&nosm etc..), visit art galleries, got a tattoo done (by bailey h. robinson!) and yes… we ate eggs&burgers, drank beers and done a damn good amount of window shopping.
Besides some business contact for Vive Ninette bags and for my art collection, one of the main reason of the trip was to attend the Faile/Nycballet
And it really worth it. The art exhibited was amazing and it has been really unique to be part of that. The ballet instead was… let’s say complicate to understand but very spectacular. (first time for me to a ballet)
Moreover I have the chance to talk with the patrick’s and get my cube signed. Can’t really ask for more.
New York is great city and you always have the chance to experience something new: it changes really fast.
I’ve really enjoyed traveling there even if…. I may not able to make it for much longer than a week :)
